We have taken our LG and Vegan dough back to the drawing board and with your help brought them back to the cabinet tasting better than ever!
What's important to know besides the fact that they are delicious, is we have now created a different dough for each. Our vegan dough is no longer low gluten, but it is soft and fluffy and will now come in a range of flavours designed with a vegan diet at the forefront of our menu creation process.
Our Low Gluten dough has also been reworked and now contains eggs, butter and dairy so they're soft and delicious and we can't wait for you to try them!
And now you can!
As of Monday the 22nd March, our LG and Vegan range will be made on our new and separate doughs. So come in, taste the change and let us know what you think!
Why still a Low Gluten dough and not Gluten Free?
Good question! When we create our low gluten doughnuts, we use entirely gluten free ingredients. We also use separate bowls, utensils and fryers during the process. Basically, we do everything we can to eliminate the possibility of our doughnuts coming into contact with any gluten.
However, as we do use the same kitchen for all of our doughnuts, there is a slight chance cross contamination can occur, which means we are unfortunately unable to claim the Gluten Free title!
Essentially we have to cover our bums (and yours too!).
We are happy to say though, we have had countless self identified coeliacs devour a low gluten doughie or three without any negative consequences.
We want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to have the true Doughheads experience, and will continue to do all we can to achieve this. (Short of installing a second kitchen!)
